I am a mother; with two children born 2002 and 2005. I am married and I live very close to Bromley South High Street, local parks and Bromley Main Library. I am used to taking care of kids, picking them up from school and taking them out in trips to local parks and libraries. I enjoy the challenge of working with children as they are all individuals and have their own special needs. The main school I collect from is St Mark's Church of England Primary School. I can pickup from other nurseries if the end time allows for it. As an experienced and qualified person, I provide a warm, safe, caring and family environment. I offer both full-time and part-time places, and can cater for shift workers. I do not drive and I don’t have a car.
. I employ one registered assistant, my husband, who have an up-to-date first Aid Certification in Emergency First Aid for People who work with Young Children.
. Excellent references available
. Diploma in Home-based Childcare
My Philosophy
My aim is to provide a warm, happy atmosphere, leading to a positive learning environment where all children can achieve their full potential. My priority is to keep children safe and happy but above all, to have FUN!
I provide welcome bags with colour coding system; each child has his own colour. It includes: plate, bowl, fork, knife, spoon, cup, 2 hand towels, reward chart and file to store his/her papers.
I like to encourage positive behaviour. I also like to reward good behaviour with a treat that is appropriate for your child such as a sticker or playing their favourite game etc... .
An enormous range of toys, updated from time to time, to give a wide variety of activities to suit all levels of ability.
Safety is my main concern. I always consider how to protect the children when out and make full use of harnesses and wrist bands when walking near roads.
I believe communication with parents is very important and I will always take time to discuss the child’s development with his/her parents. I summarize the day’s activities in a short diary for the parents to view.
I provide balanced, fresh home-cooked menu for the week with all food, snacks and drinks.
All safety, health and hygiene measures are taken into consideration during buying, preparing, cooking and serving food.
Overall my aim is to create a safe, spacious, relaxed atmosphere for the children to use their energy, be creative, develop, have some fun and most importantly be happy!
